Colin Power

Managing Director

From his first job working in the music business it was a completely different career path that he took when he started the company in 1980 supplying parts for construction equipment distributing worldwide. As the business expanded sales of equipment was introduced followed by the hire division in 1996.

From a background covering more than 30 years working in the industry he understands what is required and makes sure the company delivers a level of service that keeps PJP as one of the leading hire companies in the business supported by a dedicated team, some who have been with the company for over 20 years.

Diane Foster

Financial Director

Diane started out with a variety of Saturday jobs including selling from door to door. Her early education focused mainly on secretarial subjects and she went to college to do a medical secretarial course for 2 years.

For the next 10 years, Diane mainly worked in offices which involved accounting and secretarial positions. She left work to undertake a 3 year full time History of Design degree at the Manchester Poly and graduated with a First Class (Hons) in 1991.

Diane joined PJP in October 1991 on what was a temporary assignment. She completed her 20th year at PJP in October 2011 and “can honestly say that the company has grown and changed so much that it has not been like having one job, but many”. Diane’s accounting, administrative and people skills have been developed & extended and she is adept at balancing and juggling the many objectives within tight deadlines, through the most challenging of times.

Her spare time is devoted to creative and artistic pursuits. Diane enjoys a variety of media including textiles, paper and metal often combined to produce sculptures, soldered collage objects and fabric jewellery. Her work has been sold as far afield as Australia. A further major pastime is attending craft workshops to explore and extend her artistic skills. You could say Diane truly is a ‘Creative Accountant’!

Seamus Kelly

Sales Director

Having studied Quantity Surveying at Salford College he first dipped his toe in the plant hire world through a work placement with a small family run business in Trafford Park. This business soon mushroomed into a multi-national company which became the springboard for him clocking up some 28 years in the hire industry as we know it. During this time he has gained an invaluable knowledge of the Hire Market and his experiences extend past the UK shores having spent a number of years working in the European Hire Industry. He has developed an enviable portfolio of client relationships from a very wide cross section of industries.

Outside of work his time is dedicated to his family, participating in a number of sporting and social activities. He is a keen cyclist and football fan.

Julie Cathcart

Credit Control

Having started work at First National Bank in South Africa, she relocated to the UK 13 years ago.

Julie worked as Credit Controller for SSL International before taking the position of Credit Controller with PJP and after a few years she also took on the Purchase Ledger side of things. Julie is the Management Representative for ISO 9001.

She has been with PJP for 11 years.

Sheila Robinson

Plant Hire Office Manager

Sheila started out in 1995 as a full time general clerk & purchase ledger. She moved to T Partington Builders in 1998 to be a full time assistant to the accountant with responsibilities including wages, CIS vouchers and the switchboard.

Sheila then spent time at Betta Bedrooms and GE Capital before joining PJP as an administrator on the plant hire desk in 2003. Her responsibilities include all aspects of the running of the hire desk including the management of the team around her.

Outside of work, she enjoys soft furnishing and interior design. Sheila is also a keen motorcyclist.

Martin Pope

Transport & Service Manager

Martin has worked in the plant industry for 21 years, first starting at PJP in 1991 where he was in charge of the steam cleaner and the kettle, but more importantly gaining the experience he needed and becoming a field service engineer.

Since then Martin also spent 5 years working at one of the world’s largest excavator manufacturers. This involved building, servicing and repairing some of the biggest excavators in the UK.

Martin re-joined PJP 4 years ago as the Service and Transport Manager looking after the day to day logistics of the plant deliveries and collections, the field service engineers and the workshops.

Outside of PJP Martin enjoys taking part in a variety of different motorsports.

Bianca Corcoran

Sales and Marketing

Bianca is our newest member of the team joining PJP in 2011 after graduating in International Business Studies.
 
She has experience in both sales and marketing, previously working with Regatta during her studies.
 
In her spare time Bianca enjoys going to the cinema and makes an effort to go to the gym on a weekly basis.
