COVID-19 Statement from PJP

The following statement is for PJP customers and our supply chain.  
As a business, we continue to communicate with employees through a variety of channels that we utilise normally including text message, email and phone calls. 
We are continuing to monitor and update our response to this unprecedented event and actively follow the advice from the UK Government and the NHS.
The businesses primary focus, as always is the health, safety and wellbeing of our people and customers during this time.  
Contingency to manage and minimise the risk to people has been put in place and will continue to evolve as this situation changes over the coming days, weeks and months.
As a business, we remain committed to delivering service excellence in the provision of self-drive plant hire and the following steps should support us, our customers and supply chain.

PJP are operating business as usual and it is important to recognise the dedication to excellence from our workforce.
Immediate action has been taken to include the following:
Delivering toolbox talks and reminders about the importance of handwashing, hygiene and social distancing
Internal communications and guidance on the wellbeing and COVID-19 prevention (including social distancing)
Training and competency assessments on-site are carried out in-line with social distancing measures
Delivery drivers and mobile fitters are no longer requesting signatures from our customers. Instead they will self-sign all tablets and paperwork
Providing hand sanitiser/anti-bacterial hand wash at entry and exit points on our depots.
Sanitising surfaces regularly and increasing general cleaning.
Sanitising and cleaning machine cabs in plant and other vehicles (and the provision of antibacterial wipes where possible
Avoiding face-to-face customer visits
Restricting access to our offices by all non-operational staff, suppliers and visitors
PJP will update this statement as and when it is deemed necessary.

A COVID-19 Update from PJP

Here at PJP Plant Hire, we have taken a number of steps to ensure the safety of our employees and customers. We are of course continuing to take additional actions in line with the rapidly changing circumstances and following the Government's daily briefings.

PJP remain open to business but with additional precautions in place to ensure the safety of all our customers. Any of our customers who have any concerns about calling in to our depot should telephone us and we will be pleased to make alternative arrangements.

We continue to operate the business in line with the latest guidance for minimising risk, including:

  • Reduced face to face contact
  • Cancelled seminars and meetings
  • Advised sales teams to conduct business via email and telephone
  • Regular communication to all employees on latest NHS guidance
  • Revised service procedures when PJP staff attend site
  • We have contingency plans in place to ensure that we can continue to support you with parts, service and machines whilst we work through this together.
